The Crow Valley String Band is an inspiring family of four musicians, Rachel, Jim, Tashi and Kaj, originally from the British Isles and currently living on a small farm in the midst of Crow Valley on a small island in the Pacific Northwest. Grounded in the family’s Celtic and Nordic roots, the Crow Valley String Band performs a remarkable variety of original and traditional tunes and songs from North America and the British Isles. With a varying combination of fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bouzouki, upright bass, voice, and on occasion, the tenor banjo and button accordion, this lively group delivers a spectrum of toe tapping and heart warming music that lifts your spirit. It is all about having fun…

Tashi and Kaj have performed regularly in their own band, Brother for Sale!, from Seattle’s Benaroya Hall to  Edinburgh’s Whiski. Be advised: these aren’t ordinary kids – they have played sold-out shows with Brandi Carlile (of Brandi Carlile and the Twins), Mike McCready (of Pearl Jam), and shared the stage with fiddlers Liz Carole, Randal Bays and other celtic masters. Brother for Sale! has been the youngest band to perform at the annual Doe Bay Fest.

Crow Valley Family String Band has delighted audiences at festivals, concerts, weddings, schools and contra dances from Washington state to Scotland. Learn more about the band at
